Just decided to boot up HL2 and noticed no crosshair in TH2Go.

Did a search and saw it was discussed last year.

Has this problem been solved?

That should have been fixed with one of the patches we did with Valve a while back.

According to the programmers at Valve they see the crosshair just fine when running in triplehead.

If you have done all your game updates/GPU driver updates and you are still having the problem I guess i'll need to get in touch with Valve again. :)

Can anyone else give HL2 a quick test to confirm their results to cross-check?

Thanks,

Mark

Yep.

Half Life 2
Episode 1
Episode 2

All work perfectly with the crosshair enabled. Even Fake Factory's Hi-res graphics update works with it - so bring it on!

Weird. I'll have to go back and check what I'm doing wrong...

Make sure you completely exit out of the game and re-load it whenever you change your resolution. Half-Life 2 and other games with its engine tend to do weird things to the HUD when you change resolutions, but quiting out of the game and starting it up again makes everything normal again.

I just tried back HL:S, HL2 and Lost Coast and there's still no crossair.
(Ep1 and Ep2 are OK)

I stopped and started back Steam with the same results.

I changed resolution to 1280x1024 (Got Crossair) and back to 3840x1024 (No Crossair).

Any hints ?

Well I don't have triplehead (yet) but one thing that I thought might be worth a try would be to see if you can find a mod for the HUD (which might include a different crosshair). Maybe the mod wont have that behavior?

Once I get my triplehead setup I'm going to look into modding the HUD for all the source games. I wont change it, I'll just adjust it so that everything is on the center screen. I've seen similar mods for other games that have been mentioned in the surround solution thread.

After I got my surround setup up and running, I decided to try Half-Life 2. It looks terrific but – no crosshairs. (I haven’t tried EP1 or EP2.) I contacted Matrox and they referred me to this thread, (I also e-mailed Valve – no reply yet.)

You mention that a patch was done, working with Valve. Is this something I can download? Or maybe an update? I can’t find anything on the Valve site, but I thought I’d ask. Or If you know of any work-arounds.

I have updated the video drivers.

Thanks very much

Mark C.

I guess I should also e-mail Valve, with enough request they might finally fix it.
It's strange that it seems to work at least for one person in this thread...

It's the most irritating form of computer glitch - not universal.
