Now i just hope they do BF2.
Shouldnt be too hard right? they run on the same engine anyways..

It was never hard in the first place they just told us that it gives WS gamers a unfair advantage to have increased FOV, finaly that backed down and are probably testing the waters with BF2142 and if all goes well and the die hard 4:3'ers dont cry for mommy maybe they will also add it for BF2.

I tried it out yesterday it works great. You just need to update to 1.50 and add +widescreen 1 to your target line from your game shortcut and you will be able to choose all the widescreen resolutions.

They say its still a "test" because certain weapon models may not have textures or have clipping or something due to the new wider FOV but I have not noticed it yet on any of the stuff I used yesterday and even if I did see it, it would not bother me.

Now it's official: There will be a 1.50 patch for bf2, too.
