Hello,

Trying to get the original Call of Duty to run widescreen on my Lenovo S10e netbook.

I have edited my cfg file as per http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/Call_of_Duty

But whenever I enable seta r_mode "-1" the program fails to load with an OpenGL error. The netbook has an Intel GMA 950 graphics under Windows 7 Ultimate (don't ask why I was so stupid as to load Win 7 Ultimate on a netbook) with the latest Intel graphics driver.

Any help here? or am I screwed with the weird resolution/Windows 7 combo?

Many thanks

Same exact problem.

I have the latest beta drivers from NVIDIA so that I could get the game to start without a buffer overrun error. Potentially I could get older drivers, though I'm hesitant.

Probably should add that I have a NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT and I'm trying to get 1600x900. As far as what caused the problem though it was also the setting seta r_mode to "-1" that lead to the failing to load with an OpenGL error.

I tried rolling back some and updating to the latest again but the same exact problem each time. I don't why it can't load opengl only when a custom resolution is specified.

Wow. Just wow. I had mixed up the width and height because the cfg file has height first I was on automatic. It starts up now and is fine. Well now everyone knows what to ask people that report this problem.
