Seems to mysteriously not work for me anymore :( The width changes but I'm still missing the top and bottom parts.

If you mean the blacks bar that make it look liek 16:9, you have to "ForceWidescreen=0" in your GamerProifile.xml.

I am having the same problem, with NightRavens version. The image is stretched or squished, because the vertical height is not changed.

The original version makes my FarCry crash, so i have no solution at the moment that works

registered to say thanks and to offer some advice for folks having problems with the fixes.

nightraven's fix worked off the bat but the vert fov was not modified on my rig resulting in image squashing if i was trying to see more horizontal.

racer_s's fix did not work for me until i changed the DEP settings on my pc to disable protection on farcry.exe and the fc2FOV3.exe executables.
Once this was done i was able to modify the horizontal and vertical fov as i wished.

to disable dep for these exe's goto my computer's rpoperties , then advanced system settings, then the advanced tab, then settings on the performance section, then data execution prevention tab, then change the dep options to the bottom one and select the executables using the add dialogue.
Restart your pc and profit.

important rig bits:
vista 64
280gtx with 180.43 drivers
1920x1200 desktop
1680x1050 ingame

Thank you! Disabling DEP works for me too.. could have saved myself some work ;( lol ahh well....

Your newest version works great, thanks. Im on 16:10 (1980*1200), and was using 1.00, and now 1.10. What would you recommend?

Thank you numptyboy, disabling DEP for FC2 has allowed me to use racers FOV. I can now play in widescreen its a miracle...stinkin vistas security features!
