[quote]They seem to be generated from your current resolution. I assume you've taken your screenshot after getting 5040x1050 since it says your refresh rate is 57Hz already.

It's the pixel clock that's throwing your monitor out of whack. The only method I could find to get it in the right range months ago, was to first set the basic info to 5040x1050, 57HZ, then change the advanced dropdown to CVT reduced blank. That will change the pixel clock to around 320ish... then change the dropdown right back to manual, edit the rest of the settings and test it. Should work then.

This was the answer...I went straight in on 180.43 (no CUDA step), choosing CVT reduced blank before then changing it to manual and setting mattsimis' settings. All seems fine now (and I'm not on the 'updated' GXM Matrox support were giving out).

Excellent, back to TRI SLI I go!
(XP+SLI 180.43 was better at FC2 than Vista+TRI SLI+ older drivers)

Yep! That's it!

Remember to check "Allow res not exposed by display" to be able to actually use the res on your desktop.

Way to go, guys. :D

I was able to create the custom resolution, but each time the power desk se starts a message box pops up that says configuration has been changed, press yes to restart now. And after next restart it resets to the old resolution, and it even removes the custom one I created from the list. Does anybody know how to fix that?

I get that too, so I'm keeping restarts to a minimum...

Yeah, that happens to me too.

Also, my custom res is not showing up in Crysis Warhead. I'm about to check other games as well.

Can anyone confirm that 5040x1050 is avail in games and not just the desktop?

Works in games for me, are you trying to run Warhead in dX10? That's a no go...though I don't know if Warhead has specific issues.
