Using 3 Samsung 2693HM monitors. I have followed all of the steps and get 5040 x 1050 running. Unfortunately they all scale left justified full height ie. a black bar running down the right side. any ideas?

thanks

With TripleHead disconnected, does 1680x1050 on a single monitor look normal ? And 1680x1050, 57Hz ?

yes the 1680x1050 stretches and fills a whole screen no problem both w/60hz and 57hz without the triplehead.

Weird. Are you using the original dual-link DVI cable to connect TH2G to your graphics card ?

yes. i am using the dual link cables. i am wondering now if it has something to do with the inability for me to get the 5040x1050 resolution to show up as a choice on the matrox GXM ie it is a custom choice on the nvidia panel but doesn't show at all on the matrox setup side. i followed the other thread and find the deviceinfo file to change but can't get it to save down. is there a particular editor i should be using. on another note every time on the nvidia panel i check the "allow modes not exposed by the display" check box and hit apply it reverts to unchecked. this is vista32/nvidia 180.43

thanks

What happens when you activate bezel management?

If you think the custom res is at fault then try removing GXM and nVidia drivers then install nv177.41 and the GXM, it will add the mode correctly.

All editing the Deviceinfo file does is stop the GXM removing the custom res, it doesnt add it. You can edit it with any text editor (Notepad preferred).

To confirm your monitor in Devicemanager is listed as Matrox Triplehead2go yes?
Since you are calling this a scalling issue (doesnt sound like one) have you changed the GPU vs Display scalling option in the Nvidia Control Panel?
