The Tony Hawk series soundtracks always had a great selection of music. I never got any of them, but I always left the music volume on because the soundtracks were good.

I love all the albums from OCRemix, but the one album that's gotten my attention as of late:
The Music of Blizzard Entertainment - Echoes of War (Performed by Eminence Orchestra)

It's unique in it's representation, yet retains true to original tones and medleys, kinda like the Super Smash Brothers Melee performed by the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.

I've also been delving into chiptunes again as well, the original audio tracks from the games, in the form ripped directly from the game, so the Super Mario World soundtrack only takes up 1.5mb zipped :).

I always really liked the soundtrack to the PC game Heavy Gear. Composed by Jeehun Hwang. It has a very tense, driving kind of orchestra/electronic mix -- similar to the style of the Halo soundtracks (I mean style-wise, obviously the actual sounds are very different).

The soundtrack was actually an audio CD that you put in the drive while playing, so even to this day I have a nice awesome FLAC image of the music disc.
