First of all thanks for viewing my post

Here is my problem- I’m using TH2GO Digital with dcs Black Shark.

The surround gaming utility software does not list black shark yet so I am using the in game resolution of 4320 x 900.

When I first install the game I can change the settings to the above resolution, but once I change the resolution and press apply everything disappears back to my desk top. I know the game is still running because I can hear the music in the background, also when I alt tab I can see the black shark icon but nothing happens when I click it.

I am running vista home 64
Gtx 295 + updated drivers
I7 940
6gb of ram

PS I think I may need a Cfg file that has been modified for TH2GO

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks Peter

Same here. I can't get it running at all, even in 1920x1200. I just get the loading splash screen and nothing else....haven't been chasing this 'cos I had a hard drive die. But I don't think it is a TH problem....

Me too. After charge to 4320 X 900. The GUI menu is invisible, but the launcher.exe was still running.

Need to re-install DCS to go back to 1024 X 768 for the normal.

Find the issue resolved form DSC forum.

When BS first released I had a menu screen issue that was annoying. It is fixed. To my amazement it was a program I use called Object Desktop. It allows you to use custom Windows XP screens from Stardock.
It was the issue. I went to standard XP theme for the heck of it, and no more menu screen issue's.
Go figure, it was something as simple as that.
I thank all the members here for their support in this sim.

Sadly the DCS fourm personal are pretty useless when it comes to helping Blackshark users.

Oh sure if the DCS personal have the answer they will give it to you.

But if they don't have a clue..

Which is 90% of the time

Some of the DCS personal forum mods there will go as far as to accuse you of all sorts of nasty things. So nasty that one of the other mods had to come in and del some of the posts of the other mod. Who later on apologized to me via PM for that other mods posts.

As far as nasty goes..

I wasn't the only one who saw it that way..

Worst part is some of the DCS personal make it so bad over there that you can not eve discuss your problem with other users in the hopes of finding a fix and or work around.

So if you post over there

Prepare yourself

Okay I have found a solution to get it working

The only drawback is you have to change your desktop resolution to play Black shark.

This is how I did it.

1. Right click on your Matrox Icon in your system tray.
2.Then select the GXM wizard setup.
3. Select edit mode list.
4 at the bottom left choose you r aspect ratio which is best for you, also your monitor set up.
5. There are two boxes at the top available display modes and provided display modes. What you need to do is select the highest or the best resolution which is closest to your monitors native resolution from the ADM box and transfer it to the PDM box.
6. Set your desktop resolution to the resolution you transferred from the first box (This will be in the provided display mode box) it may not match you monitors native resolution but it will allow you to play Black shark.
7. Start black shark and with any luck your menu has re-appeared.
8. Go into options and set the resolution to your monitor native resolution.
9 Enjoy

I hope I have explained it right. If you have any problems feel free to post back here or just post to let me know if it worked
