So.... as I've mentioned in other threads in the past, my first immersive passion on computer has been 3D. I shed many a tear when I let go of my clunky Sony 24" CRT that I used for 3D in return for LCD Triplehead goodness.

Now we see, finally, a workable LCD 3D solution (ignoring things like iZ3D passive solutions) in the form of Nvidia's new Geforce 3D which uses active shutter glasses and the new 120hz LCD displays.

My understanding is that the TH2Go would not pass along a 120hz signal, thus TH 3D is currently out of the question.

However, I would be fine with a solution that enables me to switch between three monitor TH2Go running the monitors at 60hz, and single panel 3D when I wanted that experience.

Wonder if something like a 120hz KVM switch (or something similar) would do the job.

Any thoughts?

Another option is Anaglyph 3D, which can be done with TH2Go. Not as good as the Stereoscope/Shutter Glasses, but it's free.

Just need to find some glasses.

I'm not a fan of anaglyph 3D. The color washout outweighs the 3D benefit IMHO....

I dunno but if your 120Hz screen is capable of 57Hz just swap the cables...or use the other DVI port on your 280 if the 120Hz has 2xDVI...quite likely. I did this for a while when I was running 3x19" + 1x24" LCD.

Lol ,me too. I had an Sony W900 then upgraded to the FW900. Amazing monitors, still better colours and blacks (by far) then the LCDs Ive tried. Then again, they were about $3k new.

Ive accepted Im out of stereo3d for a while now. It was if anything an even more clunky parlor trick then Triplehead!

Ok.. that's NUTS! I had the EXACT same upgrade path. First I had the W900 then upgraded to the FW900. I just recently sold off my FW900 which was sitting on a garage shelf for $195 on Craigslist. Great picture... but it is a BEAST! Weighs 92lbs.

I agree that 3D games were even more clunky than TH2Go to get them running correctly at times, but Nvidia *has* been pushing it lately with the devs. World of Warcraft, as one example, recently added 3D settings into the main configuration menu after working with Nvidia on it.

I'm taking a wait and see.... but I drool at having the best of BOTH worlds....
