Ah, I see, I guess it just wasn't clear by what you said that you were referring specifically to how the console versions would look. It's kind of a major clue that the downloaded video is in 1280x720 that it's a video intent on showing a vague representation of the 360 experience. Even there though, you still have to account for the compression of the video for net streaming purposes.
Yeah, I know what you mean about looking noticeably downgraded from the PC versions. Believe me, I've got into arguments I thought would get me banned by the owner of Bjorn3D because he's a console convert and didn't take well to my bluntness regarding the differences one day.
I still find it laughable that here he is a guy running a site that is primarily paid for by PC gaming hardware manufacturers and there he is trash talking PC gaming for the maintenance and upgrades it takes vs the simplicity of consoles. I think all that convenience has him brainwashed, or maybe his vision isn't so good.
Suffice it to say I won't judge Crysis 2 until I see it. I'm not making any predictions one way or the other. I do think that CryTek are capable of pulling off a title that can take full advantage of each platform though.
