I have a 16:9 plasma TV with a 1024x768 (4:3) native resolution that has rectangular pixels; many games offer the option to gain horizontal FOV so the picture is not stretched but many others don't.

I've tried contacting Racer_S (over here and on his forums at Tocaedit) because he did paid FOV hacks some time ago, but he doesn't reply; so I'm just offering my money to anyone that has the skills to do custom FOV hacks for some games that I have that don't compensate for the horizontal pixels with a 4:3 resolution.

If anyone is interested, please reply here or leave me a PM.

Thanks.

Perhaps posting a list of games you had in mind would help out.

Check Here first. Some of them already support widescreen.
Crysis does natively. And we've got fixes for surround support too. Not sure what else you need.

Out of those four, the only one that needs adjusted is Gears of War, and you can adjust that via the console.

Thanks for replying skeeder but did you read my first post? What I'm asking is to be able to play at 1024x768 (native res of my plasma) but with a corrected horizontal FOV. As I said, some games offer this aspect ratio correction for rectangular pixels (CoD4 or Prince of Persia, for example) but the ones I posted, although they offer proper widescreen support, lack that option.

Out of those four, the only one that needs adjusted is Gears of War, and you can adjust that via the console.

I know this may sound confusing but I'm not asking for a proper widescreen support of the games I posted because I know they already support it, I want a hack to be able to gain horizontal FOV in those games while playing at 1024x768 so I get an unstretched picture.

We are talking about rectangular pixels not square ones.

I see. I didn't read the first post in detail enough.

I do make a Widescreen Fixer app that lets you select various aspect-ratios, but it's only for specific games.

http://imk.cx/pc/widescreenfixer/

I can look into other games, but there's no guarantee I can do anything.

ScummVM already does that. The game already runs natively at 320x200 as is - 1920x1200 is just a matter of sextupling the pixels with optional hires filters.
