I sent in a ticket to ncsoft regarding this issue and I suggest everyone do the same.

Anirk, was this through the NCSoft webpage? Do you have a link to the ticket form?

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting NCsoft Technical Support.

In order for us to better assist you with this issue, we would like you to run our Game Advisor application. The Game Advisor will provide us with helpful information about your system and Internet connection.

To run Game Advisor, please perform the following steps:

1. To download the Game Advisor, go here: http://us.ncsoft.com/gameadvisor/

2. When prompted, save the file to your desktop so that you can access it easily.

3. Double click on the Game Advisor file and then click on the icon for Lineage II. (As Aion is not included in this tool yet)

4. Click on the "Test Computer and Connection" button and please wait a few minutes while the process completes.

5. Once the process completes, a "Test Result" window will come up. This window will provide you with a link to update your ticket as well as tell you where the diagnostic report is saved. You can also view the report file.

Please update your ticket with this file. Once we receive it, we'll have a better idea of how to resolve your issue.

Regards,
Clark

Even though i do not have TH2G set up at this time Im still going to run it and send it to them. Dont know what good it will do...

Edit: I would like to suggest that everyone with TH2G or thinking about surround gaming send in a support ticket so that they realize that this is an issue.

They told me I needed to update my graphics drivers....

I really doubt thats the problem though. Im going to update nonetheless.

I can see where this is going though. They will probably just tell me It is not installed correctly over and over...

Fail but I will keep trying nonetheless, everyone to arms!

Maybe someone can develop a patch for it? I wouldnt know where to begin =/

Thanks for the link Anirk, I submitted the following bug report:

Aion currently scales the display such that playing on three monitors at a 5040x1050 resolution gives you an effective field-of-view of 1680x350 -- i.e. the same field-of-view as if you were playing on one monitor at 1/3 the vertical resolution.

Stated differently -- Aion takes the display from one monitor and grabs both the left and right edges and stretches that across the three monitors, at the same time shrinking the vertical resolution to 1/3 its original format.

This, of course, is pointless and alienates your most avid gamers who have multiple displays. In the industry this form of scaling is known as VERTICAL-, which is the *worst* possible way to scale a game across multiple monitors.

World of Warcraft and Warhammer and most every recent game today scale multiple-screen resolutions correctly, in a HORIZONTAL+ fashion (adding a left and right monitor ADDS to the horizontal field-of-view). It is a crying shame that Aion acts this way, and a great negative point for an otherwise gorgeous environment.

Can you please pass this issue along to the game developers, as a patch is needed to fix this issue.

There is more information and screenshots in this message board thread, illustrating the problem:
http://www.aionsource.com/forum/images-art-video-sound/14909-aion-5040x1050-warning-large-files-10.html#post816840

Thank you for your time.

Good letter there... polite and informative.

Not sure their most avid fans are the 1% of people with three monitors though :P

Thanks for keeping this going. Feel free to post on their forums, and link back to the FAQ for WS and TH.

1.5.0.3 hasnt added much. So fingers crossed!
