I did read that above. and I had also experienced something similar to that. but usually only happened while in extended mode. As soon as the videos upload I will post links and describe what the situation was .

Right now though I have not experienced any cut outs sense I installed the Accell adapter. dont understand that as they are BizLink adapters as well.

But I did try extended mode with the Accell adapter and I still will get the lines in the monitors if in extended mode. So yeah I think the Issue you describe above is driver related . but I will explain in a few

[quote]i send a ticket to sapphire, they ask for photo of adapter ( i told they it's your adapter) i'm waiting for response
This is a video of my problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPrl_P4n0zU

Yeah, that video is what everyone else experiences. Would like to post Sapphire's response to me. but am waiting for a Mod to let me know if it is even appropriate for me to do so.

Don't want to post anything out of line

I think it would be interesting for the community if you posted the response from Sapphire. :) There are many who are interested in that adapter (including myself) and the more info, the better in my opinion.

This Video was the first thing I noticed after setting up My monitors for the very fist time I was in eyefinity this happened while scrolling windows
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSk7FKnDB_o

Then I started to experience my monitor cutting in and out. Every time I seen lines form across the monitor i new the monitor would soon start cutting out. If i power cycled the monitor before the monitor cut out it would stop.
http://s284.photobucket.com/albums/ll3/mckie_titus/?action=view¤t=M4H00523.flv

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1_7v73iYHE

Here I let it start cutting out and then tried to power cycle the monitor. didn't work so i power cycled the USB and it was restored
http://s284.photobucket.com/albums/ll3/mckie_titus/?action=view¤t=M4H00524.flv

Then I switched to extended mode and lost color to one of the monitors. Every time I messed with CCC fan control and every time I moved a Window. I would get this .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDDS_LFX5-s

This is when I took the two cards I had back to the store and got two replacements . Reinstalled Drivers and same thing . After spending more money on Cables and different configurations I just gave up restored my OS from a Clone that I did previous to all this. and it fixed that issue.

then after the receiving the new Accell adapter I no longer had the monitor cutting out . But if in extended mode this is what would Happen. I ended up Disabling Overdrive and Manual fan control and the problem stopped
http://s284.photobucket.com/albums/ll3/mckie_titus/?action=view¤t=M4H00550.flv

I have been running eyefinity 100% of the time now I also have left overdrive locked in CCC

The first ticket was closed for whatever reason. I don't have record of the conversation but it detailed the Issues at hand . and I was told that it would be passed on the the engineers and I would receive a reply once they heard something. I never did hear anything and the Ticket was closed . I put in another ticket and the following was there response

Which active display port did you use to setup eyefinity for this card?

Mon, 04 Jan 2010 08:14:01 +0800
I used the Bizlink Active DisplayPort to DVI-D Dual-Link cable. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/prod ... u=330-5521

Who Manufactures the new the Sapphire DisplayPort to DVI-D Dual-Link cable.?

Mon, 04 Jan 2010 10:12:07 +0800

This is actually the one we use as well, its not working for you?

Mon, 04 Jan 2010 11:42:25 +0800
no, as well as many other people. you can view many of the Issues people are having Here on these forums viewtopic.php?f=64&t=17012 I just received an Accell/ Bizlink adapter of the same kind. and so far it is good. but people have had problems with that as well. and now there is a report of a sapphire adapter not working as well on the same forum there are 20 pages of cases where these adapters are not working on the forums . and many more with a quick search on the Internet. So far my new one is working. I'm unaware of anything that is being done

Mon, 04 Jan 2010 11:44:40 +0800

We have one in the office that is OEM from Bizlink as well, connected with three 20" DVI monitors and it set up perfectly for the eyefinity feature that the HD5K cards offer. Are you getting error message or it just does not allow you to have 3 setup at the same time?

Mon, 04 Jan 2010 12:06:47 +0800
No you dont get any error messages . what happens is you start getting Lines in one of the monitors and then the monitor starts cutting in and out. Really It would be impossible for me to list all the different Configurations of all the people that are having problems with these. me personally am running 3 X 1920 X 1200 res in eyefinity. 5760 X 1200 I really hope you could veiw the Issues here viewtopic.php?f=64&t=17012 as it will explain it all in more detail of the major problem Me as well as others are having with this device from BizLink/Accell

Mon, 04 Jan 2010 12:12:01 +0800

If you are getting lines, there might be a good chance its a bad active DP adapter? The one that i have try out works perfectly fine though.

Mon, 04 Jan 2010 12:16:36 +0800
There a literally 100's of people having the monitor cut out issue with these adapters.on these forums as well as the entire internet viewtopic.php?f=64&t=17012 some people have had no Issues. but they are the small minority

Mon, 04 Jan 2010 12:21:10 +0800

This might be an issue with the adapter, i dont think this is something i can help you with, but the one i have is also from bizlink but its a sample product, not sure if the one you have is different from the ones we got. Maybe it was built with a different batch.

Mon, 04 Jan 2010 12:29:39 +0800
Ok, I can see that you do not want to Investigate this further. I hope that your adapters don't have the same failure rate. as these Bizlink adapters. Because I'm sure you'll be getting lots of calls and returned products. Time will tell I guess. I'm not sure I understand that you base your testing on just one in the office that is OEM from Bizlink , connected with three 20" DVI monitors. But anyway if you do decide to investigate this further I provided a Link. and you could always do a Google search and see the multitude of people having Issues. I have seen one with a Sapphire Adapter. already

Mon, 04 Jan 2010 12:32:40 +0800

I will check with the factory tomorrow to see if they have users from Europe regoin complaint about this product, because this adapter is sold in Europe already not yet in USA.

Mon, 04 Jan 2010 12:46:42 +0800
Ok, But as I have said . I have seen 1 complaint. of someone that already has the Sapphire adapter that has had this Issue. and if that is the case. it is Quite possible. that you will be seeing a influx of bad adapters being returned. if it follows the pattern of the Bizlink adapters sold by Dell. Because those adapters have faild on a Grand Scale. Just ask Dell how many have been returned

Mon, 04 Jan 2010 12:49:51 +0800

In that case i am pretty positive the issue is from the adapters, once we get in conact with the Europe region tomorrow we will let you know.

Hi i have a ati 5850 and a adapter sapphire eyefinity with 3 monitor acer v243Hq on the third monitor(connected with the adapter) goes on and off every few second. With a resolution of 800x600 the monitor doesn't have this problem.

Doesn't warrant its own thread considering the similar subject.

I know it is long but please read it.

I came across this thread.

http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=17991&p=179432#p179432

I noticed that the OP of that thread has just received one of the Sapphire branded Active Display Ports to DVI adapters but it is just a rebranded Bizlink and it is just like the one I have and all the numbers on back are the same as the one I have. This leads me to believe they didn't test it at all and have not done anything other then bought a bunch of them and are re selling them. So ATI must have been fine with that because there logo is on the box.

I am just trying to test this even further and try to figure out the real problem here.

So far it seems the problem is either

A. Driver issue " I think this is the real problem."

B. The output of the DP on card is not outputting correctly.

The reason I think this is the problem is because these adapters were originally designed to connect a 30" dell monitor to a dell system. This is the description from dell website and the link. "This DisplayPort™ to Dual-Link DVI Adapter Cable from Dell™ is used to connect DisplayPort output from your Dell systems to the Dual-Link DVI input of your Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP monitor. This product has been tested and validated on Dell systems for use with the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP monitor. It is supported by Dell Technical Support when used with a Dell system."
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?sku=330-5521&cs=04&c=us&l=en&dgc=SS&cid=39888&lid=1022051#Overview

There is also an Apple DP to DVI adapter that people are exp flashing with. It was made for the same purpose but connecting a Apple monitor to a Macbook or something like that but the same concept as what we are doing with Eyefinity.

But the funny thing is only the people who are using these for Eyefinity are exp problems. Why would that be when it is the same concept.

I am trying to engage Eyefinity using three Dell U2410's, with no success. To connect the mini-DP output on the back of my main 5970, I am using the Sapphire-supplied (or possibly Dell-supplied, not sure which) mini DP to DP adapter cable which came in the box. It is just a simple cable, nothing "active" looking about it, but the whole cable is DP, so I am not adapting to DVI or anything like that, so it seems like it should work. The Dell U2410 monitors have native DP inputs.

Issues:

a) mini DP connected monitor will not work on its own at all.
b) mini DP connected monitor will not work well with other monitors in any configuration. I lose color to the mini DP monitor, and CCC may or may not recognize it is there.
c) cannot engage Eyefinity (with or without crossfire), just get a message that says "not supported" after which (9.12 hotfixed) CCC crashes.

Is anyone else using a NATIVE mini DP to DP connection, and has it worked? Anyone?

I note that my entire rig is less than a month old.

Thanks for any suggestions or comments.
