Zalman do a 3D monitor. I played with it in a shop once, was kinda cool but 3D anything on a monitor gives me massive headaches.

But then, anything but ultra-lightweight sunglasses give me a headache. There's just something about pressure on the bridge of my nose that does it. :(

Nice, bezel management.

Btw, how is the current state of 3D anyway? I had the old H3D shutter glasses, then a little later the Wicket3D eyescream drivers. I remember at the time, it was wasn't too impressive. The scenes may have been 3D, but the objects not so much. It was like one cardboard cutout in front of another. My current thought is "I'm not falling for that again."

3D TV could be interesting, though I can't imagine it going mainstream until you can do it without the need of special glasses.

Well you'd hope this years games to include proper 3D support, like the image of BFBC2, but I don't know. But all the reviews I have seen of NV 3D vision have been pretty average, some games are great but all have flaws. Things like HUDs that are wrong, poor textures and some things just not being in the right 3d space. So maybe by next year it will be compelling unless you find a game or two you love that work well....

...Oh I will so tempted if BFBC2s implementation is good. That'll be hundreds of hours of gaming for me right there.

Iz3d offers one. There is also a free version if you have those red and blue glasses (you'll get a headacke fast, but its fun to try anyway). For polarized glasses, you need a 3d monitor. Works on ATI cards and Nvidia cards.

The glasses for ATI's solution is most likely these:

Thanks for the info. Looks like it may work with normal monitors, is that a correct reading? :)

It works with normal monitors without any other hardware then red/blue(cyan) glasses in Anaglyph mode at least. It has support for other types of colored glasses in this mode, but not polarized. For that you need 3d monitor. :)

I tried the 3D thing at a store, and I didn't like it, headaches.

I really can't see anyone spending that much money on something just to get headaches.

Fun to try is about all it has going for it.
