Far Cry 3 is an open world first-person shooter, which also features role-playing game elements including experience points, skill tree, and crafting system. The player has the ability to shoot enemies behind objects in crouch mode based on experience points. The player will also have the ability to perform "takedowns" by performing melee attacks from above or in crouch mode. The game's narrative director, Jason Vandenberghe, said that the story mode map will be around ten times larger than in the game's previous installments, indicating that it is still an open world sandbox game.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is a first-person shooter video game developed by Danger Close Games and published by EA Games. It is a direct sequel to 2010's series reboot Medal of Honor (2010) and the fourteenth Medal of Honor instalment in the series.
The game picks up where Medal of Honor (2010) left off from before as it reveals Tier 1 operator Preacher returning home to find his family torn apart from years of deployment. The campaign also reveals that the terrorist enemies have become operational the United States.

Hydrophobia is a survival-adventure video game developed and published by Dark Energy Digital for Microsoft Windows, the PlayStation 3 and by Microsoft Studios for Xbox Live Arcade.
The game's engine, HydroEngine, provides realistic fluid dynamics technology for flowing water, allowing it to interact with the surroundings. The levels in the game were designed using InfiniteWorlds; a game creation system which uses bespoke procedural technology to significantly reduce file sizes, decreasing the overall file size of the game.

Trauma (styled as TRAUMA) is a graphical adventure interactive fiction game developed by Polish programmer Krystian Majewski as part of a thesis project, and released in August 2011. The game is based on a woman that has suffered a physiological trauma, and has been languishing in several dreamscapes while unconscious and hospitalized. The player resolves these by using both point-and-click and gesture-based actions to move about the dreamscapes, composed of photographs with digitally-altered features, to complete a certain task.
