SimCity 5 (2013) is the latest installment by Maxis in the SimCity series.
The game focuses on smaller building plots than previous games while increasing interaction with neighboring cities. The game saves are purely cloud based, and the game requires a constant internet connection. The game is described as a city-simulation MMO, although I am not sure you could consider a maximum of 16 players an MMO. The game can be played as a single-player but this still requires an internet connection and all saves are still cloud-based.
The game is set to contain aircraft, armored vehicles, and ships from the pre-World War II era to the early Korean War era. Some maps in the Historical Game mode are similar to real life WW2 conflicts. i.e Pearl Harbor.
The average size of maps in the game, currently range from approx, 100km x 100km to 200km x 200km. Although the engine powering the game is likely to archive larger map sizes in the future.

Rift is a MMORPG set in a fantasy world called Telara, which is the focal point of several different elemental Planes. These Planes are realities representing the elemental forces of Air, Fire, Water, Earth, Life, and Death, and it is at the one point where every one of these Planes intersect with each other that Telara exists. Each Plane is governed by a Dragon-deity, which is the personification of that elemental force.

Players take on the role of students of Wizardry to save the Spiral (which is the set of worlds this game takes place in), and battle a variety of creatures by casting spells using a turn-based combat system similar to collectible card. Players advance in the game by accepting quests to learn new spells, gain equipment, and collect gold. The game holds a rating of "Everyone 10+" from the Entertainment Software Ratings Board for crude humor and mild fantasy violence. Although designed for pre-teens, the game appeals to all ages.
Age of Empires Online (abbreviated AoEO), is a history-based RTS. The game is free-to-play—it is free for users to play, with the additional option of earning or purchasing premium content. Premium content may include access to many special items and blueprints, and more quests and features. Also, booster packs are now available, such as Defense of Crete and Skirmish. This former gives the player the ability to play in a survival type mode game, while the latter allows up to four humans versus up to four CPU opponents in a more traditional skirmish gamemode.
