Stranglehold v1.0

Stranglehold, or John Woo Presents Stranglehold, is a third-person shooter developed by Midway Games' Chicago studio, released in late 2007 for Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It is Midway's first game to use Unreal Engine 3, and was developed in collaboration with John Woo.
The game is the sequel to Woo's 1992 Hong Kong action film, Hard Boiled, and stars Chow Yun-fat in a reprisal of his role as hard-boiled cop Inspector "Tequila" Yuen. Stranglehold is the first project on which Woo and Chow have collaborated since Hard Boiled.

The unpatched game is the only version compatible with the FOV hack.

Solutions & Issues
Baseline (Widescreen) Solution & Issues

Patch 1.0 only :

Racer_S has finished the FOV Tool for Stranglehold ...
Thank you to him and all that donated ...

First to get the resolution ...
I needed to add ... -ResX=3840 -ResY=1024 ... to the shortcut target line.
So that for me it reads ...
"C:\Program Files\Midway Games\Stranglehold\Binaries\Retail-Stranglehold.exe" -language=eng -ResX=3840 -ResY=1024
This green bit may not be necessary in widescreen as it may already do the widescreen resolutions.

Now start the FOV tool ... you can adjust the FOV values using the Numpad + and - keys ... as it says on the tool.

Suggested values for the FOV hack (leave the Width FOV at 1) :

0.65 for 16:9

0.63 for 16:10

1.09 for TripleHead 3840x1024

1.21 for TripleHead 5040x1050.

Leave the tool running and start the game.

Once in the game Press the * key on your Nubmer Pad to enable the FOV fix.
The game menu screens are horz+ without the FOV tool ... so with the fix enabled they will have a particularly wide FOV and are up-side-down.
To disable for the Menu screens if you want to ... Press the / key on the Number Pad.

Eyefinity / Surround Specific Solution & Issues

Gameplay is Vert- by default.
For Hor+ gameplay in surround you need to use the FOV Tool made by Racer_S (see Attachment below). This tool does NOT work with patch 1.1.

Suggested values for the FOV hack : (leave the Width FOV at 1)
0.65 for 16:9
0.63 for 16:10
